Going through the Twins message boards, it seems Joe Vavra is on the crosshairs of Twins fans. There are calls for his head.

I am not ready to go there just yet since it's early, but let's see that the hitting has become a problem in July, is it fair to blame Joe? I think it is. With this lineup, there is no reason to be this bad. I was disappointed last year, and I am not going to be happy if we see the same old episode.

It seems this team is struggling to hit a baseball so far. These guys just seem tense when they have to hit with runners in scoring position. I don't know if it's mental, but isn't this the job of the hitting coach to do something about it?

Fair or not, if things don't improve this year, Joe has to go because someone has to take a hit when you see a talent like this struggle offensively. After all, it cost Scott Ulleger his job.
