Who has been eye-openers to you besides Carlos Gomez?
We already talked about him at length in game threads.
Come up with someone new. It could be good or bad.
For me, I would go with Nick Blackburn. I did not think he would be this good, but he has pitched like a stopper. I think when all is said and done, he will be the ace of the staff with due respect to Livan.
For me, other than Gomez, it would be Matt Tolbert. I knew he was good at AAA last season, and was a hard worker, but he has looked solid at the plate after eight games.
I think he could start at short by the end of the season.
I would say that Everett would be at short all season if he played good defense, but two errors already isn't going to help him any. He does seem to position himself well to help make easy plays.
I think if he keeps making errors and doesn't hit, Tolbert has a good chance to unseat him.
