Twins Territory - 2008 Game Threads

Tomorrow the Twins will kick off the season, and for the first time on this new site, we'll do a game thread. I don't recall ever doing them on the old site, but with a forum and a better commenting system, I thought it was time to start.

You might be wondering what exactly each game thread will include, so I thought I'd explain everything tonight so you'll be ready tomorrow.

Game Thread:

We have a banner made for every single game, and that will be the first thing you'll see on each game thread. After that, we'll have the game time, television channel and possibly records. From time to time, we'll have analysis on the game, but this may be a rare thing.

After the basic game information, we'll have a link to the GameDay on MLB.com where you can see each pitch, play and inning. We'll also have a link to our GameDay page here on Twins Territory. On this page, we'll have all of the information possible for you to get a better look at each game's match-up. This page can be found along the top if you're ever interested in looking at it before the game thread appears.

Where to Talk?

One of the main questions might be, where should you talk about the game. There are two options: right on the game post or in the forum. For each game, we'll have a thread setup in the forum. If there for some reason isn't a game thread that day, feel free to start it in the forum on your own. You have the option to follow along and chat in the game thread article or the forum, there are advantages to both.

There you have it, that is what we'll be doing this season with the game threads. As I said, some will be simple and some will be complex. Tomorrow's will be up in the early morning since its the big game, but normally we'll probably put it up later in the day.
