One Inninig, Four Strikeouts E-mail
Written by TwinsTerritory

Scott Baker accomplished an unthinkable task in the third inning of today's finale against the Milwaukee Brewers, he struck out four hitters in one inning.

He started the inning by striking out Ryan Braun. He then struck out Prince Fielder, but the ball bounced into the dirt and past the catcher Redmond to allow Fielder to reach safely. He ended the inning by fanning Russell Branyan and Mike Cameron looking.

It was the first time in team history that the feat has been accomplished, and the first time an American League pitcher has done it since 2003.

On a side note: When will Boof Bonser be done in Minnesota? His line today was terrible yet again, 0.1 innings, 3 hits and 1 run allowed. If Rincon is gone, Boof should be too.
