Michael Cuddyer has had an eventful past few days, and has finally started hitting the ball. The credit can be given to his beard, which he said he'd grow out until he hit his second homerun.

In yesterday's game he hit a solo homerun, but apparently he didn't feel that was a good enough reason to shave. He was back on the field Sunday beard in full.

Keeping the beard seemed to have paid off as Cuddyer went 3-4 in the win picking up two singles, a triple and three RBI along the way.

And so the beard will likely stay, at least until Cuddyer cools down.
