Justin Morneau participated in the Homerun Derby last season, but when asked by reporters last week about this season, Morneau said he would be fine with having someon else do it. That won't happen as Morneau became the final participant after he received a call from Major League Baseball on Sunday morning.

Morneau said he just couldn't pass up the chance to take part in the final festivities at Yankee Stadium. Last season Morneau hit just four homeruns in San Francisco, where manager Ron Gardenhire was his pitcher. Twins hitting coach Joe Vavra will head to New York with Morneau this time around.

After it looked like you wouldn't have anything to do tomorrow, now you'll be able to watch Morneau represent the Twins at 7 CT on ESPN.
