Michael Cuddyer injured his right hand last night when he dove into third-base and was stepped on. He dislocated his finger and needed four stitches to fix the huge cut. Cuddyer was placed on the 15-day disabled list after the game.

To take Cuddyer's spot on the roster, the Twins have called up outfielder Denard Span from AAA Rochester. This will be the first time Span has made the major league roster. The thought is that Jason Kubel will step into right-field with Monroe getting everyday duties as the designated hitter and Span will then move into a bench role.

The above schedule is the expected rotation for the next week. The only day in question is next Sunday. Liriano will pitch for Rochester on Tuesday, and if all goes well, would then likely be ready to pitch on Sunday.
