I like doing PBP on a game thread, and with Liriano is starting, i figure this is a special time to do a game thread even the game is repeat.

I am sorry that I wasn't there tonight for the actual game thread because I had to help my dad take out the weeds and all. Our garden is full of weeds.

Liriano is making his second start since being called up so I am curious to see what he does. He survived in his last outing. I thought he did a good job, but he did it on adraenline. We will see how he does not that he settled down.

Grienke won't be easy. He is typically tough on the Twins. He is going to for his career high, 10 wins, tonight.

Bad enough that Punto stole for the first out, and now you got Mauer.

You had a chance to go get a 2-0 lead, but Punto gets caught stealing, Mauer strikes out, and David DeJesus makes a great catch for the final out.

This guy makes another bad throw to start the Royals' first.

I can tolerate Adam for sucking with the bat, but I can't tolerate bad defense especially for a guy who allegedly was signed for his glove.

It's amazing what a team can do with a pitcher who can flat-out throw strikes.

I liked how Liriano found a way to get out of it. It helped that he had 2 Ks to help him get a position for a final out.

I can't believe what I just saw.

Delmon Young not only just produce, but he hit a home run to give the Twins a 2-0 lead.

Take a bow, Delmon.

I really hope this is a start of good things for him. The Twins really need Delmon to produce more than ever with Cuddyer likely out for the year. I thought Delmon would start a turnaround after that great performance against Texas in the second game of the post All-Star break, but since then, he did nothing.

This HR was huge.

The Twins have made couple of baserunning mistakes in that game. Buscher gets caught in a rundown. This could come back to haunt them.

Glad the Twins got a 2-0 lead, but man they should have really had a big lead here.
