I wish the Twins played some home games down the stretch. That's not happening, and I am worried that it's going to be their downfall. Right now, everything is stacked against the Twins. The relief pitching is getting worse, and the road woes have gotten to the point that it's mental now, TT. I am not looking forward for the those last two weeks in August. It's too bad that the Republicans don't want any conflicts in the convention, which is why the Twins are going in the road.

The last week of August could be good if the Twins can find a way to beat some poor teams on the ROAD. Both Seattle and Oakland will likely be trying young guys by thay point, but they need to learn to win on the road.
The one good thing to me is that the final six games are at home including those three potential big games against the White Sox.

The bad thing is that both of these first two games should have been won. If they want to be a playoff team they need to cap them off. Hopefully we'll win at least two in KC this weekend and the Red Sox will beat up on Chicago.

I gain a good appreciation listening to Dick and Bert when you listen to other team's announcers. I swear the quality of PBP announcers are getting worse each day. Seriously, which announcer is very good on the national level or the local level. I have my issues with Dick when he comes out and be an utter homer at times.
Listening to the Mariners announcers is brutal. I always get the other team's feed when the Twins are away.
I wish I can listen to the Twins' radio, but listening to Gordon is an exercise.

What is up with our pitchers sucking after four innings? They really need to learn to stretch it out, because five inning outings won't get it done every night.

I'm so sick of watching this team. It just makes me sick to see them fall apart in three straight games against the worst team in baseball. If they can't beat them on the road they can't beat anybody.

TT: This is another concern that the Twins have to worry. Their young starters have never experienced pitching that many innings this late in the season, and now you got guys that are just tired. This is getting to be bad. The relief, the road trip, and now the starters are compounding the problems with the Twins. Let's face it. This team has overachieved all season. Gardenhire did a remarkable job of getting this team to do well. Would it surprise you if the Twins have a losing record in the end? Probably not. This was a rebuilding year. In the end, I think they have played over their heads.

I don't see a losing record, but the way they've played this series, while just three games, makes me sick. I think 81-81 would be about right if they don't learn to win on the road.
