What a freaking catch by Denard.

He saved Blackburn by making that catch to save a home run or extra base hit.

Like Torii, Denard has been a highlight reel on defense since his callup.

Where would the Twins be without Denard this season?

Good to see you tonight, TT.

Right now, it's a good pitching duel between Nick and Sowers.

As great as Sowers is, Nick has been as good as him, which is why this is scoreless.

After 5, no score.

Sowers is halfway through a perfect game.

Nick has to keep matching him, and hopefully the Twins can get to him.

The White Sox are leading 1-0 in the fifth over Kansas City. I'd hate to fall back to 1.5 just one night after playing them.

A fan asked Dick Bremer about the Twins long road trip at the end of August. Dick thinks this long trip is feasible. On the one hand, the teams that the Twins are facing are below .500 teams. Problem is that this team has not been very good on the road at all. When you are playing on the road for two weeks, it could take a toll on you especially with the Twins not having days off at the end of August.

As great as Sowers has been, that's how good Nicky has been.

Without Nick's performance, the Twins would be in a hole.

It's time for the Twins to step up and get to Sowers.

I expect the Royals to sweep the Bitch Sox this weekend.

Bitch Sox will have plenty of opportunites to feast on the Royals, and that could make a difference in the standings this year. I am surprised that the Royals won the series at Chicago few weeks ago.

Adam Everett does something useful.

His bunt sents Brendan to third.

Good job by Adam. He needs to do little things like that.

Carlos has had a good homestand.

He needs it as he tries to hold on to his job of playing everyday.

You have to figure Denard is going to be the everyday centerfielder when Cuddy comes back. Of course, Carlos is going to make Gardy's decision harder by playing well. At this point, you have to go with Denard as your starting centerfielder. With that said, Gomez can give Gardy something to think about. In this type of situation, competition is a good thing.

Go-Go really hasn't been very good on the basepaths. He started off really awesome but now he is 21 for 31.

Carlos has been snakebit with stealing bases lately.

I often see him getting thrown out more.

That is not going to help his cause to be an everyday player.

After six, Twins lead 1-0.

Nick Blackburn has been superb tonight. He had to just to match Sowers.
Sowers was good too.
Gomez's RBI single sends Harris home.
