To me, the star of this game was Nick Blackburn.
He set the tone in this win. He had to match up with Sowers, who threw six perfect innings. Also, he had to get out of this jam in the seventh. Had he cracked, this was over. Blackburn found something special to get out of it. This guy is going to be so good next year. He pitched very well tonight.
This guy is money at home. I don't think he has had a bad outing at the Dome this season.
