I swear that if this team stinks offensively all season, I will scream. Tonight was simply unacceptable. I am so fed up with this team's ineptcy on offense every freaking year. I am so mad about tonight. I feel bad for Nick Blackburn. I am sick and tired of our starters being forced to throw a perfect game every freaking time. It's not fair to them. They shouldn't be subject to this.
If anything, Blackburn should feel like he is part of the team. Pitch your heart out and lose.
It's way too early to panic, but let's say that the offense struggle all year, does Joe Vavra take some heat?
I think Vavra has done an okay job, but at some point, it's about results.
Ulleger basically lost his job as hitting coach because the team underachieved offensively and he deserved to lose his job. I have no idea why he is the third base coach. With that said, Vavra needs to be held to a high standards.
Does anyone think the Twins philosophy of hitting is more of a hindrance to hitters? I am starting to think it is. There is no way Mauer and Morneau should be struggling like this. David Ortiz did so well after leaving here, and he made it point to rip Tom Kelly's style of hitting. Gardenhire follow the style that Tom Kelly does in hitting. I just wonder if this is the problem.
