I'm going to call it quits for the night, but once again, it was an awesome first game thread.

I hope to see you guys here often and hpefully more soon. Seeing this go to six pages and nearly 100 posts is awesome. I won't be here everytime, so hopefully some of you guys can lead it too.

Quick thing: Yeah, I think Dick and Bert both did a nice job (Bert did call Delmon, Dmitri once )

I will try to be there tomorrow night if my supervisor leaves the building.

If not, I will be there Wednesday night. I should be there Thursday afternoon.

I love doing game threads. It was little late since I went out for a haircut, but I got in for most of the game.

This board has been great and it will get better.

Its kinda like how Gardy still calls Harris "Brandon".

The disappointing part of this game was seeing Torii getting booed. I know he got a warm ovation, but the boobirds was out there and that bothers me. It wasn't Torii's fault that he left. Torii was going to make one last payday, and he did what anyone would have done. The Twins made it easy for him by not even wanting him back going back to two years ago so to boo Torii was ridiculous and stupid.

This was a special night all around.

The Twins won, and everyone performed.

It's hard to pick something negative here.

Carlos Gomez had a memorable home debut.

Livan was excellent.

Pat and Joe were nails.

Everyone contributed in the lineup.

Dick said it best. It was a perfect script.

Let's hope Boof gets it done tomorrow.

He said the way he takes a strike and runs is like Ricky. He also said when he's up at the plate he looks like a young Julio Franco.

Dude, Franco dates back to the dead-ball era.

Oh, and one more thing:

How many times have we anticipated the first game of a hot prospect -- and the hot prospect actually performed beyond our expectations?

The answer: Once. Last night.

Patrick Reusse agreed with me that Livan was more impressive than Gomez.

I am a huge Reusse fan so my choice look even better.
