The comparision that Bert made was Ricky Henderson. He said the way he takes a strike and runs is like Ricky. He also said when he's up at the plate he looks like a young Julio Franco.

Morneau is friends with everyone on the Wild.
He is at the games often at the Xcel Energy Center.
It boggles my mind how he is a Nucks fan yet he is a Wild fan.
I don't mind that he roots for a local team and such, but it's odd since both teams are rivals. It's good that Morneau is not doing this for PR reasons, but it's very odd. I just had to point that out.
I thought everyone on the lineup did a good job tonight for the most part. It was good to see everyone on base. This was productive night offensively. I know the team left guys loaded on base, which is always a theme for the Twins, but for the most part, they got it done when it mattered. They can only get better.
Regarding Morneau, I do remember him showing up at Wild games. I've been following the Wild as an out-of-town team of mine since day one. Hopefully he'll show up during the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Good to see the new guys make good first impressions for the Twins. Carlos Gomez is obviously the key player the Twins got in return in the Johan Santana trade. The Mets simply had no room for him given Endy Chavez's role with the team and they had to give up somebody of significance for the Twins to accept the deal.
Livan Hernandez... solid performance. Definitely liked what I saw tonight. I know at times he's had his problems over the years shutting opponents down, but when he's on top of his game, he's quite tough to hit against. Hopefully we see a lot of what he did tonight during the course of the entire season.

That was me who wrote about Dick. Dick really called a great game tonight. He seemed fired up. He was calling this like a main event tonight. He was really into it if you hear his voice.
I did not hear the reaction on WGN. I got the Brewers/Cubs feed from FSN Wisconsin.
