Re:Game 1: LA Angels 6 Months, 1 Week ago Hits: 0
I'm short on time this afternoon to post, but I am really excited for the season opener. I just wonder if the Twins will postpone the game due to the snowstorm. I hear there may be as much as 10 inches that could fall by tomorrow morning.

It kind of makes sense that the game should be postponed until tomorrow. The fan turnout will be very low if this game is played.

As for some of the storylines, I know Torii Hunter is making an immediate return to Minnesota in his debut with the Angels. I hope he's well received. If not, I won't be surprised it is due to some of the statements he made during last season where he was indicating he was leaving.

I'm excited to see this new Twins team that we are starting over with, but my expectations for this season isn't high. I'm eager to know how the fans will react about Torii Hunter being with the other team, not with the Twins. It must be an emotional moment for him, I'm sure. I'll applaud him for everything that he would do for this team, but from that point on it's all business.

So far I've heard nothing about tonight's opener to be postponed.

2. Joe Mauer, C
3. Michael Cuddyer, RF
4. Justin Morneau, 1B
5. Delmon Young, LF
6. Craig Monroe, DH
7. Mike Lamb, 3B
8. Brendan Harris, 2B
9. Adam Everett, SS

Way to go Gomez. You could tell like Morgan said that he wanted to stretch that into a triple so bad, but it was very smart of him to hold up at 2nd.

Livan is looking good early (knock on wood).

Yeah, 2-2 with a double, single, steal and a run scored is a great way to start.

Crazy game tonight.

You have to like how the new guys are making a good first impression especially Carlos, who is going to be a fan favorite.

I've been switching back and forth between the Penguins/Rangers game on Versus and this one and it's tough to keep up! Just saw Michael Cuddyer's RBI single with the infielders drawn in to put the Twins back in front 3-2.

Boy, I'm really impressed with the huge crowd for tonight's season opener under the circumstances with the snowstorm. Awesome to see! Hopefully the Twins can get a few more runs here.

The Twins have got their running shoes on tonight.

Everyone is stealing.

Sounds like Carlos has been an influence on these guys.

I hope Livan is done.

He has been good, but I will never trust him ever all season.

There are good number of fans that booed Torii tonight. That's disappointing, but then again a good portion of fans wouldn't know a baseball from a beachball. It's disappointing that there were good number of people booing of Torii.

Its been fun to watch so far. I love the way Go-Go is playing. Like I've mentioned before, I think the 1-5 spots will be really fun to watch.

I think it's great that Brendan is playing great tonight. He has two hits and he made a good catch. I am hoping that this spur him some confidence, which would make him an everyday player. I don't want to watch Punto play ever if possible.

3-2 Twins after six innings of play. Its been a fun one to watch so far. I hope Livan can get through this seventh quick and then hand it to Neshek and Nathan for the last two.

Is it just me, or does everybody just always wait for Gomez to get up after Delmon hits?

I think Harris will be better than people expect. He has some power and if he can hit in the high .200s, I think he'll be fine. Second is pretty easy compared to other defensive positions.
