After a day off due to weather, the Twins will now head to Kansas City to take on the Royals for the second time in a week. For the series opener, the Twins will send out Livan Hernandez to face off against Gil Meche.
It'll be a cold game with temperatures expected to be below 40. With the big offensive breakout on Wednesday, it'll be interesting to see how the Twins come out tonight.

Did anybody else feel like watching the first five innings of last night's game was torture?
As the game started, and it was explained that the wind was blowing mist from the fountain onto the camera, I wondered why they didn't turn off the darn thing.
They didn't. Which meant viewers were subjected to watching the game through the umpire's butt. And, with a runner on first, whoever thought it was a good idea to try and sneak the runner and home plate into the frame should have their degree obtained from the Rolling Stone classifieds yanked.
Oh, and the lovely view of flocks of windblown hot dog wrappers wafting across the infield was an added treat.
By inning five (or was it six?) somebody found the "off" switch for the fountain and order was restored to the universe -- between bouts of earthquake-like shaking of the camera.
It is the 21st Century, right? Has anybody informed the good folks in Kansas City?

Impressive win last night and especially for Livan Hernandez. You have to love it when pitcher that you acquired during the offseason has paid dividends for your team. I just hope Livan continues to pitch this way throughout the season, not just the first few weeks.
WailinSuzyn, the Royals will be doing a major renovation of Kauffman Stadium, but they're not removing the fountains. I don't want them to either. It happens in regards to the wind blowing the mist in the direction of the game cameras beyond the centerfield wall. I can deal with it as long as the broadcasters use the camera behind home plate if needed.
