I love many of the new features that we’ve added to Twins Territory, and I feel that they can all help make us into a bigger and better Twins community.

With that said, one of my favorite features, more like a feature within a feature, is the ability for all members of the site to post a FanBlog.

This feature has the chance to go a long way, but can only do so if readers become involved, sign up and then proceed to use their very own FanBlog. The blog is your own. It appears within your user profile and on your very own blog. In addition, all blogs by all users are compiled into one big member blog which can be found on the Clubhouse drop-down menu.

As you can probably tell, this feature is pretty cool and allows quite a bit. It is pretty easy to post a member blog, but if you need some tips, you can follow our steps.

Also, make sure to follow the rules:

1)   All blogs must belong to the Twins. What that means is that all blogs must in some way be about the Minnesota Twins or baseball in general. If it isn’t, there is a good chance that it will be removed. As time goes on we may allow more sports posting and possibly off-topic as well, but to get started, we have decided to keep it solely on the Twins.

2)   We ask that you post no more than two blogs per day. We don’t expect this to be a problem, but we needed to add it just so that the member blog doesn’t get cluttered.

3)   While it is fine to re-post a blog that you have posted on your own blog somewhere else, we will not allow you to post a blog just to plug your own personal blog. Its fine to add your site link at the end of a posting, but don’t write a blog just to draw visitors to your site.

4)   Finally, please use the best grammar possible. We do understand spelling mistakes as we do make them from time to time. But please do your best and don’t misspell words on purpose. In addition, we ask that you do not use all CAPITALS or aLtErNaTe CaPiTaLiZaTiOn. Our blog program does allow bold and italics, but please use them wisely.
